Our Philosophy

Our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment in which children can learn through developmentally appropriate and supervised play.
 

Beaver Creek Childcare serves as a resource for learning about the physical world, social skills, emotional expression, and cooperation.

Beaver Creek Childcare is committed to the importance of early learning and socialization.

We value the uniqueness of each child and always put the child’s welfare first. Although we cannot replace your home, we regard child care as an extension of home. We provide love and understanding in a safe, clean, comfortable environment where your child receives the nurturing and educational tools necessary for growth.

Our Staff

Staff members at Beaver Creek Childcare are selected on their educational background, maturity and experience in working with children. All teachers have Degrees and/or Certificates. Staff members attend periodic workshops to improve the quality of their work and education. All Directors have experience as teachers and educational course work on children.
 

Our Programs

Children’s activities at Beaver Creek Childcare are planned by our staff to be fun, educational and developmentally appropriate.

Infants and Toddlers daily routines will be based on their individual needs. The teachers will interact with all of the children to build a loving and trusting relationship. We’ll also stimulate your child’s cognitive, emotional and physical development through creative play and sensory motor activities.

2 Year Olds have a day filled with exploratory play, fine and large motor activities, music and language games.  Story time, art and hands on science help round out the program. Hands-on sensory and art, science and cooking projects, round out the program. They enjoy outside play twice a day and field trips to various locations and rest for two hours each day.

3 Year Olds spend much of their time in a group working with manipulative games. Circle time includes weekly learning topics and current family events. Dramatic play, stories, large motor activities, science, art, fine motor activities.They enjoy outside play twice a day and field trips to various locations and rest for two hours each day.


4 Year Olds have more teacher directed activities. They use the Open Court Literacy Program, Scott Forseman Math Program, 2nd Step Character Development Program, as well as incorporating science, language arts, group games, music, art and weekly themes into their program. They enjoy outside play twice a day and field trips to various locations and rest for two hours each day.


Kindergarten Transition is a full day certified Kindergarten Program.  We use a combination of the Treasures and Open Court Reading Programs. We also use Scott Foresman Math, Second Step Character Development and the Thematic Approach to incorporate Science and Social Studies. Children are engaged in fine arts, music, media and physical education. Children must be five years of age by December 31 to qualify for this program.

Before and After Care children have outside play, sports, art, cooking projects, as well as indoor group games, reading and supervised homework time.

School Age Summer Camp is provided weekly for in going Kindergarten through Fifth Grade children. The program consist of weekly themes to include 2-3 field trips, in house performances, arts and crafts, sporting games, cooking and science projects! 

Schedules

Beaver Creek is open Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Parent’s Night Out is held on various Fridays or Saturdays children will have a special evening at Beaver Creek Childcare for activities, popcorn and a movie while parents have a chance to take the evening off. Ages 2 to 12.

Infants and Toddlers may attend full day sessions, five days a week.

2 Year Olds may attend full day sessions, five days a week. Care includes breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

3 and 4 Year Olds may choose to attend Full time care, or a Morning Preschool Program from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Beaver Creek Kindergarten Transition has a full day of instruction from 9-2 with before and after care included at no extra cost.

Public Kindergarten children join our private kindergarten for before and after care.
We offer an afternoon snack.  With before and after care enrollment there is no extra cost to attend all day when public schools are closed.

School Age Children may attend before and after school sessions. School age care is on the 3rd floor. We offer an afternoon snack and 30 min. of homework time with a teacher’s assistance. With before and after care enrollment there is no extra cost to attend all day when public schools are closed.

School Age Summer Camp is offered for Kindergarten through 5th Grade.  Hours are from 6:30 am-6:00 pm for camp.  We provide breakfast and an afternoon snack, children all bring a lunch.  Classrooms are out one to two times per week on field trips.
