Curriculum

Children’s activities at Beaver Creek Childcare are planned by our staff to be fun, educational and developmentally appropriate.

Infants and Toddlers daily routines will be based on their individual needs. The teachers will interact with all of the children to build a loving and trusting relationship. We’ll also stimulate your child’s cognitive, emotional and physical development through creative play and sensory motor activities.

2 Year Olds have a day filled with exploratory play, fine and large motor activities, music and language games.  Story time, art and hands on science help round out the program. Hands-on sensory and art, science and cooking projects, round out the program. They enjoy outside play twice a day and field trips to various locations and rest for two hours each day.

3 Year Olds spend much of their time in a group working with manipulative games. Circle time includes weekly learning topics and current family events. Dramatic play, stories, large motor activities, science, art, fine motor activities.They enjoy outside play twice a day and field trips to various locations and rest for two hours each day.


4 Year Olds have more teacher directed activities. They use the Open Court Literacy Program, Scott Forseman Math Program, 2nd Step Character Development Program, as well as incorporating science, language arts, group games, music, art and weekly themes into their program. They enjoy outside play twice a day and field trips to various locations and rest for two hours each day.


Kindergarten Transition is a full day certified Kindergarten Program.  We use a combination of the Treasures and Open Court Reading Programs. We also use Scott Foresman Math, Second Step Character Development and the Thematic Approach to incorporate Science and Social Studies. Children are engaged in fine arts, music, media and physical education. Children must be five years of age by December 31 to qualify for this program.

Before and After Care children have outside play, sports, art, cooking projects, as well as indoor group games, reading and supervised homework time.

School Age Summer Camp is provided weekly for in going Kindergarten through Fifth Grade children. The program consist of weekly themes to include 2-3 field trips, in house performances, arts and crafts, sporting games, cooking and science projects!
